Meaning

There are ways that a car

Can mean more

Can mean meaning.

Like a marbled Sphinx

Can mean a celebrated baroque history,

So will a metaled Volkswagen

Mean in future a commonman's pride.

Imperial glory,

Capitalism's conquest.

Centering human

Achievement.

The meaningful thing done

To be remembered.

Their Might was right.

A cliché,

Meaning nothing

To me. Though

 I take pride in

Cycling gently (now)

Attending to my spine,

Learning to let aside

Intention. Letting my

Doing be what it is.

Letting others do

As they do.

I will not pretend

To understand

Objective truth,

Absolute best,

Highest honor.

Empty of meaning,

What is left?

We see the bee, the

Bee stumbling, too

Fatigued to fly,

Or the leaf also,

Browned on the edges,

Feel the sky darken,

Sense the injured pigeon’s

Need to have a friend.

Content to be,

To know what it is to be

Kind. Kind of like

The way the baby

Knows to giggle

Spontaneously.

To me, I wish

The rich earth,

The powerful wind,

The soothing water

To be lovely

In a way that

Euphoria means.
